Ellsworth W. Pieschke, age 90 of Arlington, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center in Arlington. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington. Rev. Kurt Lehmkuhl will officiate. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service time at the church. Interment will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery.

Ellsworth was born on January 26, 1922 to Ewald and Elsie (Tessmer) Pieschke in New Auburn, Mn. He married Verna Poplau on September 8, 1940 in Arlington. He farmed in Arlington Township until 1967 when they moved into the city of Arlington. He then worked for Green Giant and later for H.M. Noack and Sons and later Big Stone Canning Company in which he retired from. Verna died June 23, 1993. He later married Eileen Musquiz on April 25, 1998. He was a member of P.O.L.K of A. since 1997 and he and Eileen were named prince and princess of that organization in 1999-2000. He was also a member of the Arlington Polka Fest during its duration.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Pieschke of Arlington; daughter, Kay (Howard) Linsmeier of Shoreview; son, Randy (Penny Pieschke-Albrech) Pieschke of Nowthen, Mn; daughter-in-law, Marshalaa (Dennis) Wagner of Chaska; step-son, Greg (Anne) Musquiz of Shoreline, WA; adopted son, James Haviland of Arlington; grandchildren, Tony Linsmeier (fiancée Samy Heinonun), Paul Linsmeier, Rachel (Adam), Matthew, Keri and Jodi; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Hailey and Alexia; and step-grandchildren, Maddie and Molly Musquiz.

He is preceded in death by wife, Verna; daughter in infancy; and son, Robert;
