Mrs. Edd Dugan, Bloomfield, Dies, Funeral Sunday.
Mrs. Ada Gowin Dugan, 83, died early Friday, April 20, at Flaget Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Edd Dugan, well known farmer and landowner of the Bloomfield community.
Mrs. Dugan had been residing with her son, Chester, at Bardstown since she became ill. She was a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church. She is survived by five sons, Chester and Jodie Dugan, Bardstown; Kenneth, Louisville; James, Richmond; Lovelace, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hall, Finchville; Mrs. Edna Howard, Miami; two brothers, Robert L. Gowin, Shelbyville, and R.M. Gowin, Springfield, Illinois. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The body was at Houghlin Funeral Home where services were held Sunday afternoon, April 22, at 2 pm conducted by the Reverend Finley Ray, pastor of the Bloomfield Baptist Church, with interment following in the Dugan Family Cemetery on the Dugan farm.
Pallbearers were Steven Hardin, E J Jewell, Loraine Peavler, Marshall Kays, LeRoy Crume and Ernest Coulter.
