Born to Johnethy and Agnes (Johnston) Holliday, she married Everett Gutheridge in 1940 and later married Robert Bentheimer in 1971. Both Everett and Robert preceded her in death.
Isabelle will be remembered for her friendly nature and warm smile, and her selfless volunteer work for the community for over 30 years.
Some of the organizations which were blessed by Izzy's involvement included Koats for Kids, Christmas Neighbors, Red Cross Blood Drive, and Community Action Coalition of South Central Wisconsin, for which she served on the board of directors.
She also made time to make lap blankets and totes for the VA Hospital, and knitted kitchen towels for many people to enjoy.
Isabelle was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Endl-Gruennert Congressional Medal of Honor Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3589 of Jefferson, Reinhardt-Windl American Legion Post 164 Auxiliary of Jefferson and the Military Order of the Cooties.
She leaves behind a son and his wife, four daughters, two sons-in-law, 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, three sisters. two daughters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; four sons, Johnethy, Russell, Daniel and Peter Gutheridge; one granddaughter, Tracie; and many brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson.
Burial will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
