Helen Louise "Mother Helen" Durr, 89, of Roscoe died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, in SwedishAmerican Hospital after a short illness. She was born April 9, 1923, in Lorado, W. Va., the daughter of William and Jessie Todd. She married R.T. Durr on Feb. 20, 1965, in Chicago; he preceded her in death. Survived by one son, Robert (Gloria) Todd; three grandchildren, Michelle (Don) Dix, Jeffery (Jonah) Todd and Ursula ( Pastor Omer) Francis; 8 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends, including special nephew, Alvin Thomas. Predeceased by parents; sisters, Rosetta Thomas and Dorothy Mackey; and brother, Edward Todd. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State St.
