Mrs. Maria Louise Vietor, 73, widow of Emil K. Vietor, died early yesterday at Stuart Circle Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Vietor was a member of St. John's Lutheran Evangelical Church, Stuart Circle; the German-American Ladies' Aid Society, the Tabea Society of her church and the Frauen Gerein.
A native of Essen, Germany, she married E. K. Vietor there in 1888, and moved to Richmond, Mr. Vietor having previously established his residence in Chesterfield County.

Husband Was Consul Here
Mr. Vietor first engaged in the tobacco business here about 50 years ago as a member of the firm of Thornton & Vietor. A few years later he founded the E. K. Vietor Company, which he served until his death two years ago. He was also Imperial German consul in Richmond for some years. The funeral services will be held at the residence, near Granite in Chesterfield County, tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. Oscar Guthe, pastor of St. John's Evangelical Church, officiating. The burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Mrs. Vietor is survived by three daughters, the Misses Laura M. and Elizabeth Vietor of Chesterfield County, and Mrs. Hannah Bleibtreu of Germany; also by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marianne Vietor of Bremen, Germany; a son-in-law, Hermann Bleibtreu; a sister, Miss Paula Graeber; a brother, Professor Rudolph Graeber, and by eight grandchildren.
