COURIER-JOURNAL OBITUARY - 07/14/2012 - REID, LOUIS KIRK, 55, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at his residence. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and was a Catholic by faith. He was a graduate of Jeffersontown High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Kirk worked for the Kroger Company for over 36 years and loved Germantown and his second family at Check's Café. Preceding him in death were his father, Judge H. Collis Reid, Jr.; and his brother, Joseph Glenn Reid. He is survived by his mother, brother, sister, many nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Boo. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues with a vigil service to follow at 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy to The Shamrock Foundation, 1505 Highland Avenue, Louisville, KY, 40205.
