David was the son of Conrad M. and Louise (Jordan) Liese. During World War I he served as a Private in Company 17, 153 Depot. By 1929 David wed Miss Anna M. Wusnick and they raised five children. They resided on Union Street in North Chili. In 1940 David worked as a machinist at railway signals. At the time of his death David and Anna had 22 grandchildren.
