Born at Bender, South Russia, daughter of Christoph Mohr and Wilhelmina Weigart. Came to America in 1892 with her first husband John Rieger who died six months later, married (2) November 16, 1894, to Simon Hirsch had five children. Seven children from first marriage.

Funeral services were held from the Herreid Baptist church Sunday, August 24, for Mrs. Simon Hirsch, 88, of Java, who passed away on Wednesday, August 20, at the home of her son, Ed Hirsch in Java. Services were conducted by Reverend Krombein of Eureka, and Reverend Fischer, a grandson of Mrs. Hirsch, of McCluskey, North Dakota. Interment was made in the Herreid cemetery.
Mrs. Hirsch had been in poor health for several years but was able to be up and around until May, when she became bedfast. She suffered a stroke on August 19, and passed away at eleven o'clock the next day.
Juliana Mohr Hirsch was born at Bender, South Russia, on February 08, 1859, and came to America in 1892 with her husband, John Rieger and seven small children. Six months later her husband passed away. On November 16, 1894, she was united in marriage to Simon Hirsch. Five children were born to this union.
She is survived by her husband, Simon Hirsch; four sons, Philip Rieger of Portland, Oregon, Adolph Rieger of Plevna, Montana, Ed and Gust Hirsch of Java; seven daughters, Eva (William) Kramlich of Colfax, Washington, Wilhelmine (Andrew) Hirning and Julia (Christian) Heinle, of Missoula, Montana, Marie (Otto) Kundert, Mound City, South Dakota, Ida (Christ) Lutz, Martha (Gust) Rau, both of north of Java, and Emma (Henry) Grenz of Herreid; three step-daughters, Magdalina (John) Fischer of Herreid, Frieda (Mike) Kallis, Bearmouth, Montana, and Elizabeth (Willie) Bauer, of Eureka, South Dakota, three step-sons, John, Charlie and John Hirsch all of Miles City, Montana; one halfbrother, August Heisser, and one halfsister, Barbara (Jake) Kramm; 102 grandchildren; 74 step-grandchildren; and 109 great grandchildren; one brother and one sister of Missoula, Montana.
Four brothers, one sister, and one son John Rieger Jr., preceded her in death.
