Helen Teresa Raczek, 88, of New Britain, widow of Joseph Andrew Raczek, died Saturday (December 10, 2011) at the Hospital of Central CT.
Born in New Britain, she was a life-long resident. Helen was the daughter of the late Isador and Katherine (Zysek) Pilkiewicz. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of Sacred Heart Ladies Guild in her younger years.
Surviving are a son, Richard Raczek and his wife Jane of Burlington; a daughter, Christine Raczek of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Pilkiewicz, and by a sister, Lee Satkowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain.
