Irene Pieper of Isanti, MN, died Jul 16, 2012, at Signe and Olivia's Assisted Living in rural Ogilvie, MN Irene Rose Pieper was born Apr 20, 1945, in Cambridge, MN, to Alex and Bebeanna (Murnich) Krzyzanowski. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alex and Bebeanna; and by her husband: David. She was raised and attended school in the Cambridge area. On Sept 14, 1963, Irene married David Pieper at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge. They made their home in Isanti where they raised five children. Irene was a compassionate and enduring person who was always there for her children, other relatives and friends. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, fishing, playing bingo, working on puzzles, listening to music and gardening. Irene especially enjoyed NASCAR. She was joyful, had a kind heart and she will be dearly missed. Irene will be lovingly remembered by her five children: Shelly (Rosie) Pieper of North Branch, MN, Rhonda (Harry) Horner of Finlayson, MN, Rodney Pieper of Braham, MN, Cindy (Todd) Voss of Brook Park, MN, and Todd (Maria) Pieper of Mora, MN; one brother: Louis Krzyzanowski of Isanti; two sisters: Frances Callin of Isanti, and Helen Erickson of Albuquerque, NM; 10 grandchildren: Lydia, Joseph, Nichole, Rebecca, Dianne, Christopher, Greggory, Kyle, Kyle A., and Emily; 8 great-grandchildren: Mathiew, Aurora, Quinton, Alexzander, Jeremiah, Benjamin, Sadie and Able; and by other relatives and friends. A memorial service was held at 11:00 am Thurs, Jul 19, 2012, at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Cambridge Union Cemetery. Arrangements were with the Strike Life Tributes - Funeral & Cremation Services, Isanti, MN.
