RITES FOR LATE CHARLES KOTT TO BE HELD MONDAY

Funeral services for the late Charles Kott, well-known resident of the city who died Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at his home, 1820 North Eight street, of pneumonia, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the family residence. The Rev. E. R. Krueger, of St. John's Evangelical church will officiate and interment will be made in Wildwood cemetery.

Mr. Kott was born in Germany on July 27, 1847, and was seventy-eight years old at the time of his death. He sailed from his native land for the United States in July, 1866, remaining in New York for a few months and then coming west to Wisconsin, settling in this city. He was then seventeen years old.

For many years Mr. Kott drove a stage coach between here and Two Rivers, later going into the teaming business which he was actively engaged in until two months ago, when he retired from active work.

On August 5, fifty-one years ago, Mr. Kott was married in this city to Mrs. Kott, who preceded him in death on Sep 2. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year by entertaining a large company of relatives and friends.

For fifty years Mr. and Mrs. Kott resided in the residence at 1820 North Eight street, where both Mr. and Mrs. Kott died.

Mr. Kott was a member of the Schiller lodge of Oddfellows for the past fifty-one years and in May, 1924, the lodge presented him with a gold medal in honor of his golden anniversary in the order.

The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. William Platzer, of this city; Miss Agnes Kott, at home, and one son, Fred Kott, of this city. One grandchild, of this city, and a brother, Ernst Kott, who is eighty-five years old and who resides in Germany, also survive.
