Arlene Judith Berndt, 74, of Duluth, passed away March 29, 2011, in Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
Arlene was born March 14, 1937, in Duluth. She was married to Robert "Toby" Berndt for 45 years.
Arlene was a homemaker who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved fishing with her husband, Toby, and attending numerous family functions with her sisters. Arlene also enjoyed singing with her husband and son while they played guitar, karaoke, playing bingo and going to the casino.
Arlene will be greatly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Toby; daughter Tammy; brother Dennis Johnson; and her sister Rosaleen Brewer.
Arlene is survived by her children, Linda (Albert) Olson, Robert "Jack" Berndt (Jan Borgeson), Randy (Sherry) Berndt, Daniel Berndt, and David Berndt; grandchildren Jennifer Berndt, Eric Berndt, Rebecca Olson, Stephanie Berndt, and Toby Berndt; great-grandchildren Alexander Berndt, Avery Quinones, and Jayden Quinones; siblings Kathleen Connor, Phyllis Homick, Dorothy (Merle) Johnson, and Bonnie King (Cliff Peterson).
