Born on July 19, 1967 in Trenton, Michigan, he was the son of Frederick and Sharon (Fahnestock) Ploeger.
David was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are daughter, Dana Kowalski of New Boston; mother, Sharon A. Ploeger of Carleton; 2 step-sons, Bobby Cadle and Delone Heflin both of Monroe; step-daughter, Marinda Heflin, 10 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Fred (Kym) Ploeger Jr. of Erie and William (Lynnette) Ploeger of Carleton and a sister, Cindy (Steve) Eyler of Carleton.
