Mrs. Ama Irene Galloway, 79, of Fulton, Missouri died Saturday evening, August 19, 1978 at St. Louis. Mrs. Galloway was born on March 7, 1899, near Rolla, MO, the daughter of Charles R. Brown and Sarah Ella (Powell) Brown. She was married at Moberly, MO on September 11, 1935, to Max Valdon Galloway, who survives at the home. She is also survived by two sons, Valdon Galloway and Keith Galloway; five grandchildren; and a sister. Mrs. Galloway was preceded in death by fours sisters and two brothers.

She was a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. She retired in 1966 after teaching English at the Fulton Junior High School for 43 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fulton, The Eastern Stars of Rolla, AAUW, Delta Kappa Gamma; the Callaway Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Anna McVeigh Circle, the Sewing Group and the Sacrament Committee of the church.

Friends may call at the Browning-Debo Funeral Home on Monday and services will be conducted at the First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday with Dr. Cecil Culverhouse conducting the service. Burial will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens cemetery.
