John was a molder, having lived in Decatur since 1909 moving here from Mt. Auburn. He was born Jan 19, 1887 in Illiopolis, a son of George W. and Nancy Reed.
He is survived by two sons, Roy J. of Decatur and Wilbur of Santa Barbara, Calif; daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Friend of Elwood, Il. He also leaves three brothers, Irwin of Decatur, Raymond of Kalamazoo, Mich.and Arthur of Blue Mound; sister, Mrs. George C.Cook of Harristown.
