Mr. John Reichert 84, of Onaga, passed away Sunday at Community Hospital here after a short illness.
He was born March 23, 1881 in Germany and moved to United States in 1894. He lived in Nebraska before moving to Kansas in 1904; and in the Kelly and Wetmore communities for many years before coming to Onaga in 1950. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church here.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Theresa Reichert of the home; four sons, Ed Reichert, Herbert Reichert and Raymond Reichert all of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy McGreevey of Lawrence and Mrs. Helen Paulsen of Onaga; a sister, Mrs. Mary Bokeren of Falls City, Nebr.; and 17 grandchildren.
Rosary was recited at 8 o'clock Tuesday Chapel Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Wednesday Morning at St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church with interment in St. Bede's Catholic cemetery at Kelly.
