SCHEIDLER, Charles H., PhD, "Dutch" age 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jean Roach Scheidler; three children, Karen and husband Everette Hawk; Keith and wife Tina; and Margaret and husband Charles Peck; five grandchildren, Adam Scheidler, Moriah and husband Matt LaCour, Melanie Scheidler, Ken Peck and Monica Peck; one great-grandson, Asher LaCour, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Barbara; his parents, Charles and Rose Lehbold Scheidler; and 10 brothers and sisters. Born in Sulphur Springs, MO, on August 27, 1921, he earned his bachelor's degree and his combined master's and doctorate degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He went to school on the G.I. Bill after serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He then took a position at the University of Dayton, where he retired as a full professor after 35 years. He was head of the Guidance Center at UD for many years. He was also a founding member of SSS Consulting, now HR Chally, a management consulting firm.
