Son of Joseph Bloore (or Bloor) and Sarah Lees Bloor(e), born at York, then the capital of Upper Canada, in 1829

John Helliwell Bloore married Augusta Hubbard (1837– ), and they had three daughters:
* Jessie Louisa Bloor {Williams} (1862 – )
* Alice Bloor {Poyntz-Davies} (1863 – 1892)
* Helena Augusta Bloor {Buchanan}(1867 – )

John Bloore was a Great Lakes shipping agent/forwarder in the partnership of Clemow and Bloore of Oswego, NY during the 1850s. During the same period, another forwarding agent and ship owner in Hamilton, Michael W. Browne, appears to have done business together with this firm from time to time. For example, in March 1855, The Globe of Toronto advertised that the ship 'St. Nicholas' "will ply regularly between Oswego, Toronto and Hamilton ... For freight or passage apply to Clemow & Bloore, Oswego, NY ... or M.W. Brown [sic], Hamilton"

He died at the age of 38 years.
