Mrs. Joseph (Doris) Sikora, 66, of Peru, died early this morning at Illinois Valley Community Hospital following a short illness.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mueller Funeral Home in Peru and 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Peru. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a scripture service at 7:15 p.m.

Mrs. Sikora was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Peru, to William Jacob and Bertha (Tieman) Croissant. She married Joseph S. Sikora Feb. 21, 1939, in Peru. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church.

Mrs. Sikora is survived by her husband, Joseph; a son, Peter of Peru; three daughters, Paula Travis of La Salle, Donna Sikora of Utica and Doris Spradling of Peru; nine grandchildren and four sisters, Ruth Zimmerman, Loretta Meyer, and Jean Miller, all of Peru, and Margaret Pyka of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. St. Mary;s Church. The Rev. Kevin Gorman, OSB will officiate. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a scripture service at 7:15 p.m. Sunday.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Leroy (Ruth) Zimmerman, Mrs. Loretta Meyer and Mrs. Jean Miller of Peru and Mrs. Margaret Pyka of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters.
