FOSTORIA -- Judith A. "Judy" Fruth, 67, of Fostoria, passed away Monday morning, August 6, 2012 at her home.
She was born October 20, 1944 in Fostoria to the late Glenn and Ola Kathryn ( Roberts) Dunn. She married Ron D. Fruth on April 5, 1964 at High Street (EUB) Church, and he survives her in Fostoria.
Also surviving are her son, Kyle A. Fruth, Fostoria; daughters, Charlene Trabbic, Perrysburg, and Candice "Candy" Reece, Portage, Indiana; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Karen (Heth) Corl, Beaver Creek, OH; brothers-in-law, Gary (Brenda) Fruth, Fostoria, Terry (Loretta) Fruth, Wauseon, and Tim Fruth, retired U.S. Air Force; and sister-in-law, Ardis (Don) Taylor, S.C.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tanya Lynn Fruth.
Judy was a Member of Risingsun Church of God where she had been past treasurer and participated in Bible Study groups, as well as painting murals for the church. She had also been a team member of the Emmaus Community at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Findlay.
An accomplished oil and acrylic painter and artist, Judy was a member and treasurer of the Heart of Ohio (HOOT) Tole Painters, and Vice President of Brushes & Pallets in Findlay. She has won many awards for her art work in county fairs.
Judy served a six year apprenticeship to achieve her Journeyman's Card which she received and became the first woman to take and hold this position with Gray Printing in Fostoria where she worked as a Four Color and Negative Stripper for 26 years, retiring in 2000.
Along with being an artist, her family brought her the most enjoyment in life.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, where funeral services will begin 11 a.m. on Thursday, Pastor Paul Rutledge, officiating. Committal services and burial will be in Union Cemetery, West Independence.
