ALFRED ZIEMER (d. 1925)

DEATH CLAIMS A. ZIEMER, ILL ONLY 2 WEEKS
Alfred Zeimer (sic) died at the Holy Family hospital at 2:30 this morning. He
was taken ill with a sudden attack of appendicitis two weeks ago and was rushed
to the hospital for an operation. He failed to gain strength, however, and the
end came early this morning.
Deceased was born at Kewaunee October 16, 1882, and would have been forty-three
at his next birthday. He received his early education in the public schools and
then learned the moulder’s trade, a calling which he has since followed, having
been employed at the Smalley Manufacturing company plant here for fifteen years.
He was married at Kewaunee July 19, 1910 to Miss Hattie Kuehl and the couple
came to this city to make their home. The widow with one son Alfred, Jr., his
father August Ziemer of Boyd, Wis., three sisters, Mrs. Henry Burgees and Mrs.
George Hutton of Chicago and Mrs. Frank Vraney of this city, and three brothers,
George of Racine, August Jr. of Kewaunee and William of West Allis, survive him.
A sister, Mrs. George Stace of Detroit, Mich., died about a month ago. Mr. Ziemer
was a member of the local unit of the Royal League but belonged to no other
organizations.
