Rita Joy Witcher Kainer "Mimi"

Rita Joy Witcher Kainer, 75, of Bay City passed away at home on July 20, 2012. She was born on May 23, 1937 to Frank Witcher and Clara Witcher. She was a loving mother and grandmother dedicated to her family. She was a proud employee of BCISD for 27 years where she retired in 2001. She was a faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church Choir for 30 plus years. She always said, "Singing is twice praying". In her retired years she loved to travel and volunteered her time as a Pink Lady at MGH. Thanks for the party, MiMi! We love you!
She is survived by: her children, Kim McKelvy (and George), Kari Wigginton (and Billy), Kyle Kainer (and Tammy) and Kelly Billington (and Tom); grandchildren, Jack McKelvy (and Miranda), Chris Billington (and Tammy), Katie Hammon (and Joey), Chad Kainer, Dee Ann Kainer, Wesley McKelvy (and Maria) and Kassie Vela (and Javier); sister, Bobbie Bard and nephew, Eric Bard; great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Kylie, Clayton and Mary Margaret. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Monday, July 23, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Greg Korenek officiating. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 23, 2012 at Oaklawn Cemetery in El Campo, Texas. Pallbearers are to be George McKelvy, Billy Wigginton, Tom Billington, Jack McKelvy, Chris Billington, Chad Kainer, Wesley McKelvy and Eric Bard.
