In the early morning of Aug. 25, 2009, Margo T. Swearingen Schott went to her final meeting with our Heavenly Father.

She was born Sept. 30, 1948, to Charles and Lyda Rita Swearingen. She was born and raised in Laramie. In her life, she lived in Laramie, McFadden and Denver. She married Richard "Dick" Schott in 1967. She was the wonderful mother of three children, Ronda, Bill and Kim.

Margo was an active person in her younger years. She had many positions during her life. She could walk into any of the schools her children attended, and half of the kids would yell "hi mom." She drove school bus, waitressed, volunteered and worked for the American Red Cross. Margo went to college after all of her kids were grown. She attended LCCC and the University of Wyoming, majoring in business. While attending college, Margo was president of the LCCC student government and an alumnus of Alpha Kappa Psi Beta Nu chapter. You would see her at church Saturday evening in the same seat every week. She volunteered as a 4-H leader in Albany County for 35 years. She was active in the CCW and any way possible in the church. She also was an active member in the Moose. In her spare time, she would quilt and read. She could be seen at the farmers' market on Friday evening talking to everyone she knew. Margo would do anything to help another person in need. She will be greatly missed by her family and anyone who crossed her path.

She is survived by her husband Dick; children, Ronda and Gerald Jackson, Bill and Jana Schott and Kim and Larry Hysong; her seven grandchildren, Faith Ann Tupper, Justin Schott, Becca Jackson, Paul Clark, Matthew Kinsel, Shelby Jackson and Craig Jackson; all of her siblings, LaRue Pharoah, Maureen Murphy, Joel Swearingen, Wendell Swearingen and Lynne Swearingen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vigil and rosary services will be at 5:30 p.m. today at St. Laurence O'Toole Catholic Church. Funeral liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Laurence O'Toole Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. James Schumacher, celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Albany County Fairgrounds Foundation, 3510 S. Third, Laramie, WY 82070.

Services are under the direction of Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. To send condolences or sign the online guest book, go to www.montgomerystryker.com
