NEWTON - Jerald T. "Jerry" Johnston, 55, died Aug. 13, 2012. He was born April 16, 1957, to Theodore Arnold and Romeyn (Palmquist) Johnston.
Survivors include: sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Mike Cagle of Newton; nephew, Josh Cagle; and other nieces and nephews.

Funeral 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Newton. Visitation 9:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at the church. Burial 2 p.m. Thursday at the Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg. Memorials to the American Kidney Foundation or the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, in care of Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.
