Arno N. Endres, 76, formerly of Chilton, and since 1956, a resident of Milwaukee, died at St. Anthony Hospital, Milwaukee, Saturday afternoon after a short illness.

He was born at St. Anna on June 16, 1898, a son of the late Peter and Sophie Wagner Endres.

Mr. Endres was a former bowling alley and tavern operator in Chilton for many years.

He was a member of the Merchant Police of Milwaukee, the Knights of Columbus Calumet Council 2556 of Chilton, fourth Degree K of C, Allouez General Assembly of Appleton, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Chilton Aerie 1288.

Survivors are two brothers, a twin, Zeno of Chilton and Edward of Milwaukee, three sisters, Mrs. Christ Hertel of Chilton, Mrs. Chase Gauthier and Miss Winifred Endres, both of Milwaukee.

Three brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral Mass was at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton. The Rev. James Vennix, pastor, was the celebrant. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
