Jeannine was born on February 9, 1929 in Hastings, Nebraska, to Ivor and Edythe Jones. The family moved to Nampa in the mid 1930's. She was the 7th child in a family of eight. She attended schools in Nampa and was a graduate of Nampa High School.
After finishing high school, she met the love of her life, Ed Hogge. They were married on March 9, 1948 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage together. She was a devoted wife and mother. She worked mostly as a homemaker, but also worked for Mountain Bell and the Simplot Company.
Our mother was very kind, caring, and gentle person. She was an accomplished artist and we will cherish the paintings she left us. We will never forget her smile and her ability to make everyone feel important and loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Kris (Bill) Sturdivan; son, Jim (Carla) Hogge; grandchildren: Jason (Marian) Chamness, Kate (Will) Fowler, Christie (John) Aitchison, and Tammy (Tim) Gloe; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Gayle Jones.
The family would like to thank Dr. Laura McGeorge for more than 20 years of care. Additionally, we would like to thank the caregivers at Wynwood for caring for her over the past four years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name at Life's Doors Hospice – Boise, 420 S. Orchard Street, Boise, ID 83705.
