CATHERINE PAULINE GARVIN, 100, died February 16, 2017, at Somerford Assisted Living, Hagerstown. She was born in Weverton, MD, October 26, 1916 and was the daughter of the late Thomas Calvin Tritapoe and Harriet Snider Tritapoe.
Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the last of her family. She was a 1935 graduate of Boonboro High School. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 79, Frederick, MD and Daughters of the Nile, RE Temple 118, Hagerstown. She was also a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Harry A. Garvin, who died in 2006.
She is survived by a son, Harry Allen Garvin, one daughter, Cecelia Ann Garvin Ashby, four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 granddaughter.
Services will be at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Brownsville, Maryland. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
