Mrs. Sarah King Dies at Markle
Mother of John Neff, of Bluffton, dies Sunday;
Funeral Tuesday
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth King, 80, widow of George King and lifelong resident of Markle, died early Sunday at her home there after an illness of four weeks.
Surviving are two sons, Harry King, of Markle and John Neff, of Bluffton; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Ely of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Mabel Ormsby of Markle; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two brothers, Daniel Wolf of Markle and Melvin Wolf, of Wyandotte, Mich.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. (CST) at the residence with Rev. George Gocker officiating. Burial will be in Markle cemetery.
Note: Sarah 'Lizzie' was also married to Jeremiah Platt. They married June 7, 1885 in Wells County. Jeremiah was born about 1847 and died Oct. 25, 1888 in Markle.
