Sidney Smith died at his home in the town of Pine Plains, early last Friday morning, aged 67 years. Mr Smith was born at Taghkanic, Columbia county, November 20, 1850 was the son of John and Christina Decker Smith and was a resident of that county for about forty years. Early in life he married Johanna Fingar of Livingston who survives him. He was a charter member of Pine Plains Grange.
