A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Marcella A. "Marcie" Braun, age 88, of Sartell and formerly of Rice, who passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Country Manor Nursing Home in Sartell. Reverend Timothy Baltes will officiate. Burial of the urn will take place in St. Stephen's Parish Cemetery in St. Stephen.
Marcie was born on August 16, 1924 in Brockway Township to George and Mary (Blaziek) Fiedler. She moved to California when she was 18. She lived in the Bay area for 30 years. Marcie married John Johnson and he died in 1974. She then married Ben Braun on March 8, 1975 in California. The couple returned to the Rice area in 1975. Marcie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
She was a generous and loving person with a great sense of humor.
Marcie is survived by one sister, Phyllis Stanoch of Oakdale; sister-in-law, Jeanette Fiedler of Sartell; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; brothers, Alfred, James, and Robert Fiedler; sisters, Rose Hassler, Josephine Maurer, Hildegard Spielvogel, Lorreta Thurston, and Genevieve Pietron.
