Joy Patricia Mitchell of Davison, passed away Dec.3, 2010 At Grand Blanc Rehab. Center.
Joy was born in Flint Michigan on April 28,1927, the only child of Clare and Perditta Poland.
After graduation, she married Joseph Mrazek and from that union had four children; Beverly, Daryl, Donald, and Dale.
She then went to work at the IMA Cafeteria where she met her husband James Mitchell.
Joy was a woman of so many wonderful colors. A friend to all that she met. A smile for all that knew her. Knowing her, you knew you had a friend for life.
She is survived by; her sons: Daryl(Lorrie) Mrazek, Dale(Mary Carol) Mrazek, and Donald (Debbie) Mrazek, ten grandchildren: Lisa Schummer, Leslie Schutte, John Mrazek, Ryan Mrazek, Jeffery Mrazek, Matthew Mrazek, Patrick Mrazek, Amy Mrazek Jessica Mrazek, and Jason Mrazek, nine great-grandchildren:Jamie, Tyler, Megan, Chloe, Devin, Malia, Jaclyn,Jayden,and Zoe. Joy had two very special cousins; Mrs. Jean Irving and daughter Jill and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schmidt, both of Aurora Illinois. She is also leaving behind a host of many close friends. The family wants to give special thanks to: Grand Blanc Rehab. Center for their outstanding care given to our mother, Lonna the nurse from Hospice, and Judie the social worker for being there when we needed you, plus all the other volunteers.
Joy was preceded in death by: her husbands, Joseph Mrazek, and James Mitchell, and her daughter Beverly Merriam.
