BISON - Martha Hopkins, 91,
died Jan. 4, 1990, at Rush County
Hospital, La Crosse.
She was born Dec. 17, 1898, at
Bison, the daughter of Henry Foos
and Elizabeth Gillig. She lived in
Bison all of her life, and was a
housewife.
She was a member of the United
Methodist Church, Bison.
On June 4, 1919, she married
Jess Hopkins at Bison. He died in
February 1964.
Survivors include: a son, Jerry,
Bison; a daughter , Leona
Schneider, Olmitz; two sisters, Ella
Schwindt, WaKeeney, Lavina Appl,
Beaumont, Texas; four grandchildren;
and seven greatgrandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m.
today at Janousek Funeral Home,
La Crosse, the Rev. Doug Hasty
presiding. Burial will be in La
Crosse Cemetery, La Crosse.
Memorials may be sent to United
Methodist Church or the Rush
County Nursing Home, both of La
Crosse in care of Janousek
