Mary Rose (Bartolotta) Pomponio, 89, of Charleroi, died on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012. Born on Feb. 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Julia Bartolotta. She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church in Charleroi. She was a loving and kind woman who always had a nice word to say. She was a proud homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mary was a resident of the Char House, and she loved living on the 7th floor with her friends. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Dean Blair of Charleroi and Joyce and Jim Gregor of Stroudsburg, Pa.; grandsons, Colby and wife, Lisa Blair, of North Charleroi, and Evan Gregor of New York; granddaughter, Jamie Gregor of the state of California; cousin, Aldo Bartolotto of Monongahela; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Emil Pomponio in 2003; and siblings, Tony, Ernie, Margaret, Fred and Rudy Bartolotta. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Additional visitation will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of the Church, celebrated by Rev. Gerald Mikonis. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the John K.
