Clarence Michael Kelch was born to Michael J. Kelch and Orpha L. Warner Kech on March 17, 1909. He passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, April 17, 1993, at the age of 84 years and 1 month.
He received his education southeast of Geneva at District 35. He worked with his father on the farm until he was married to Eda Ebbeka on December 24, 1936. To them one child was born.
Following their marriage, they lived in Geneva. He worked for the Fillmore County Road Department until 1945. He then took a job with the State of Nebraska Department of Roads until he retired in 1973. Clarence then went to work for the City of Geneva from 1983 to 1990.
His hobbies were caring for other people's yards and working in his own yard. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren's ball games and playing ball with them. He also enjoyed seeing his great-grandchildren. Clarence and Eda had been married for 56 years.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Orpha; brothers, Wilber and Lewis; and infant brother, Francis.
He is survived by his wife, Eda Ebbeka Kelch; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Marvin Slepicka; four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
