John B. Saathoff, 56, Cordova, died at 11:09 yesterday morning in Moline Public Hospital. He had entered the hospital late Saturday. Services will be at 2 Wednesday afternoon in the Dailey Chapel in Port Byron. The Rev. Gerald Thurber, pastor Of the Sycamore Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cordova Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and tomorrow. Mr. Saathoff was born April 6, 1905, in Bronaugh, Mo. the son of John and Anna Neimeyer Saathoff. He attended Bronaugh schools. He married the former Corlys Young Jan. 28, 1928, in Clinton, Mo. The couple moved to this area in 1937. Mr. Saathoff was a farmer. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Jack Lamb of Cordova; two sons, Keith of Cordova and John K. of Port Byron; and four grandchildren.
