He was born May 12, 1960, in Virginia to Nora L. and Melvin G. Scherf. Tim was a loving, giving and caring individual who will be greatly missed. He was devoted, supportive and a rock for his mom and family. Tim was extremely proud of his nieces and nephews, always applauding their accomplishments and ready with any help they needed. Tim loved the water, fishing, camping, designing and building, riding his Harley and spending time with his puppy Broham. Tim grew up in the Eveleth area and then attended UMD and the U of M. He moved to Colorado, operating heavy machinery, then to the Seattle, Wash. area. He was a proud member of the Laborers International Union of North America, working out of the Seattle Local 242 and the Virginia Local 1097. Tim is deeply missed but with us daily in our hearts.
He is survived by his mother, Nora; brother, Todd M. Scherf; sister and brother-in-law, Terri Lynn and Gerald Johnson; nephews and nieces; great nephew and niece; special companion, Broham; and many aunts, uncles, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin G. Scherf; brother, Thomas Mark; paternal grandparents, Lyle and Eula Scherf; maternal grandparents, Nils and Clara Brenden; and many loved ones and friends.
