Mr. Frerichs was born in Dumas. He was an aviation mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda; two sons, Dan Connell of Salina, Kan., and Scott Leister of Abilene, Kan.; two daughters, Wendy Milam of Amarillo and Stacy Taylor of Salina; his mother, Ardith Frerichs of Dumas; three sisters, Delores Smith of Nashville, Tenn., Theola Rachal of San Antonio and Julie Bynum of Austin; and 13 grandchildren.
