Death Claims Billings Man, George Baughman, 83, Came to Montana 27 Years Ago.

The body of Mr. Baughman was taken to Forsyth, MT., Sunday evening.

George Baughman, 83, died at the home of hid daughter, Mrs. Frank Hertzler, late Saturday evening following a long illness.

He had been in ill health foe several years.
Death was caused by cancer.

He had resided at the home of his daughter here for six weeks, and had visited in Billings each summer for the last ten years.

He first came to Montana 27 years ago, taking a homestead near Castle Rock.

He resided at the homestead until 10 years ago, when he returned to his birth place Cuba, IL. to make his home.

Mr. Baughman was born July 16, 1855, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Baughman.

He married Miss Mary Henderson 58 years ago at Cuba.

Mrs. Baughman died 15 years ago.

The body of Mr. Baughman was taken to Forsyth, MT., Sunday evening.

Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church at Forsyth at 2 p.m. Monday.

Burial will be in the Forsyth Cemetery, Forsyth, MT., beside the body of his wife.

In addition to his daughter here, Mr. Baughman is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Roy Emery of Castle Rock, MT, a nephew, Glen Smith of Forsyth, MT.,
three grandchildren, Mrs. Alice Reis of Helena, MT., James Binkard of Butte, MT., and Miss Frances Hertzler of Billings, MT.
