Mrs. Anna Bornhorst, nee Anna
Eilers, was born April 16, 1851, at
Gutenburg, Iowa, and died Wednesday
at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Mary Kolbeck, at Salem,
S. D. Deceased had been ailing
for some time, but died suddenly.
The funeral was held Saturday
morning at 10 o'clock from St. Joseph's
church and burial made in
St. Joseph's cemetery. Six grandsons
acted as pallbearers.

Deceased was married to Ferd Bornhorst
in 1869. She remained here for five years
and moved to Madison, Minn, to live with her
daughter, Mrs. Joe Pels. For the last three
and one-half years she made her home
with her daughter at Salem.

There were 11 children born,
two dying in infancy and Margaret
died December 10, 1902 She
leaves to mourn her loss,
eight children, who are:
Mary Kolbeck, Salem; Mrs. August
Ruether, Louisburg, Minn.;
, Mrs. Joe Kolbeck, Cottonwood,
Idaho; Barney, Remsen; Henry,
Madison, Minn; Frank, Salem;
Tony, Dawson, Minn and Mrs Joe
Pels, Madison, Minn. She also
leaves two brothers and a sister at
Gutenburg. Her husband preceded her
in death 25 years ago
