A stroke of paralysis sustained recently caused the death Sunday of Cyrus Baker at his home, 416 High Street NW. Mr. Baker was born November 9, 1850, in Orange Township and had been a resident of this county all his life. He had made his home in Carrollton for the past 29 years, moving here from Perry Township in 1898. June 24, 1875, he married Miss Charlotta Walters, who survives him. He also leaves an daughter, Miss Jettie Baker of Carrollton. Mr. Baker was a member of the United Brethren church of Perrysville.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the home, with Rev. Earl Stainbrook in charge. Burial was made in Grandview cemetery.
