(Smith) Bingham, of Grass Lake, who was born on June 17, 1838, at Whitesboro, N.Y.To this second marriage, were born four children: Harriet (deceased), Frank Bingham, Alice Frances (widow of Edward W. Tinkham), and Louis Howard, the two latter now living with their parents. The family are members of the Park Congregational church; their politics is republican

Widow of Capt. William Winegar Succumbs at Home Thursday Night.
RESIDENT HERE 46 YEARS
Mrs. Emma Bingham Winegar, seventy-eight years of age, died Thursday evening at her home, 461 Sheldon avenue, S. E., following a long illness. She was the widow of Capt. William Winegar, one of the early furniture dealers of the city. Mrs. Winegar had been ill for a year, but a week ago Thursday she was stricken with paralysis and death came about 9 o'clock Thursday night. Funeral services will be held at the residence Monday morning at 10 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Charles W. Merriam, assistant pastor of Park Congregational Church, assisted by Rev. Robert W. McLaughlin of Park Congregational Church, Brooklyn, N. Y., formerly pastor of the church in this city. Mrs. Winegar was a member of the local congregation for many years. The death of Mrs. Winegar takes from Grand Rapids one of it's most prominent and best loved women. A member of Park Congregational Church since 1876 she took active interest in the work of various women's clubs of the city, being a member of the L. L. C. and of the history class, which was later to become the L. L. C. She also was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and an associate member of the St. Cecilia society for many years.

Mrs. Winegar was born June 17, 1838, in Whitesboro, N. Y. She was of Puritan stock, her father being Dr. David Bingham of Whitesboro and her grandfather, Lieut. Co. Seth Smith, who served under Gen. Washington during the Revolution. Mrs. Winegar was married March 23, 1859, at Grass Lake, Mich., to William Winegar and came to Grand Rapids with her husband in 1871 and had lived in the family home on Sheldon avenue, S. E., for forty-five years. Mrs. Winegar is survived by three sons, William S., Frank Bingham and Louis Howard Winegar; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Winegar Tinkham; five grandchildren, Swift W., William Edward, Frederick Perry, Frank Bassett and Ruth Winegar; one sister, Mrs. William H. Jordan of Indianola, Ia., and a foster sister, Mrs. J. F. Shaw of Grand Rapids. Three great-grandchildren also survive. They are Edwina, Alice Caroline and William Carroll Winegar.

WINEGAR CHILDREN TO SHARE MOTHER'S ESTATE
The will of Emma B. Winegar was filed in Probate court Wednesday. By the terms of the testament Alice W. Tinkham, daughter, will receive the homestead and furniture and the sum of $15,000. Frank B. Winegar, son, will receive one-third of the estate and another one-third is bequeathed to Michigan Trust company as trustee in trust for Louis H. Winegar, son. Under the trust the house at Wyoming Park is to be given Louis Winegar free of rent for his natural life. Alice W. Tinkham also is bequeathed the remaining one-third of the entire residue.

Emma died at 9 p.m. due to arteriosclerosis. She was a widow and a housekeeper.
