Mrs. Mary E. Fischer, widow of John Fischer died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. W.G. Urey in Warsaw following a six months illness of complications. She was 87.
Mrs. Fischer was born in the Mohawk vicinity Feb.28, 1851, a daughter of Nicholas and Louisa Kissner. she lived in Warsaw for the past 32 years. She was married on Dec. 16, 1869, to John Fischer, who died in 1922.
Five of the seven children born to this union survive. They are James P. Fischer of alexandria, O., E.P. and N. Q. Fischer, both of Warsaw, and Mrs. W. H. Rodock of Walhonding Route 2. She also leaves 11 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; a brother, S. C. Kissner of Delaware, and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Welsh of Columbus, Mrs. Henry Barrick of Coshocton Route and Mrs. Charles Brillhart of Warsaw.
Mrs. Fischer was a member of the Warsaw M. E. Church and the Presbyterian Missionary Society.
The body will remain at the home of W. G. Urey in Warsaw until 1 p.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to the Warsaw M. E. Church where services will be held at 2 o'clock. Rev. D. B. Davidson of Barnesville will officiate assisted by Rev. Glenroy Shoup of Warsaw. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery.
