She was born Nov. 4, 1901 in St. Marys to Ernst and Sarah Holtkamp Elshoff. On April 20, 1922, she married Florenz Henry Niemeyer, who died Oct. 20, 1980.
Surviving are two sons: James (Nancy) Niemeyer and Ned (Linda) Niemeyer, New Knoxville; a daughter, Dorothy McMullen, St. Marys; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Marvin and Carl; two sisters, Selma Haberkamp and Lydia Niemeyer; three brothers, Floranz, Walter and Harvey Elshoff; and a son-in-law, Wilbur McMullen.
A 1918 graduate of Memorial High School, she was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, and the Women's Guild. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid Society and was the oldest resident in New Knoxville.
Service is 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
Calling is one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to the radio broadcast fund of the church.
