On March 12 1938, Bernice was united in marriage to Russell Edward Hocking in Niles, Berrien Co., Michigan. Three children were born to this union: Marilyn, George, and Luana. Bernice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was member of the First Presbyterian Church in Suc City.
Survivors include her husband, Children, Marilyn A. Simpson and husband Arthur of Conrad, Iowa; George E. Hocking of Simi Valley, California; and Luana M. Hocking of Marengo, Iowa.
