He was the son of Lee Roy Bowler (Boulware) and Lillian Pearl Pitts Bowler.

Wilbur H. Bowler, Sr.

Wilbur H Bowler Sr, 61, of Spotsylvania County died of pneumonia Saturday at Mary Washington Hospital.

Mr. Bowler, a native of King George County, was a master carpenter.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 am at Wilson Smith Funeral Home with the Reverend William C Bowler and the Reverend R Kenneth Brooks officiating. Entombment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles Lee Clore, Bradford Chandler Clore, James Marshall Marders, Herbert S. Brooks
, Raymond E Perry and John M Pitts and William Seal.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Bowler is survived by his former wife Lucy Elizabeth Clore Bowler, two sons, Wilbur Harrison Bowler Jr, and Hunter LeRoy Bowler, both of Fredericksburg, one sister Annie Byrdett Bowler Marders of San Diego, a brother Emmett Irvin Bowler of Falmouth, and one step granddaughter.



The family requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Cancer Treatment Center, Mary Washington Hospital Foundations, 2301 Fall Hill Avenue, Fredericksburg 22401.
