Smith beloved daughter, sister
and friend went home to
be with the Lord Saturday
morning, August 3, 2002,
after along battle with cancer.
She was a fun loving, easy
going and compassionate
soul who lived each day, not
looking forward or backward.
She was born Saturday
morning, October 6, 1956, in
Texas City. She enjoyed a
wonderful childhood in
Hitchcock and finished her
high school education at
Texas City, class of 1975.
She attended Sam Houston
State for a year. She worked
in the restaurant business,
worked for the maintenance
department of Woodard,
Oklahoma, and in her latter
years installed fiber optic
cable on various projects
including the Ballpark at
Arlington.
She made her home in
Duncanville (South Dallas)
and was a member of the
Cathedral of Hope, anondenominational
church. She
traveled as much as she
could and loved the beach.
She died at her residence
extremely happy to be home
from the hospital, surrounded
by her family and
friends, doing it her way.
She is survived by her
partner and dear friend
Tammy Littrell; mother and
stepfather Martha
Hightower Randolph and
Philip Randolph of Omega
Bay; father Carroll H.
Smith of Texas City; brother
and sister-in-law Shane and
Diana Smith; niece Jessica;
and nephew Steven of Santa
Fe; brother and sister-in-law
Clay and Barbie Smith,
nieces Deven and Erin,
nephew Nathanial of
Newport News, 'Virginia;
brother Cole Smith of Texas
City; special friends Cynthia
"Cuz" Hardage of Lancaster;
Brenda "Sister" Howard
Menotti of Dickinson;
Sharon and Larry
Richardson of Texas City;
many other relatives and
friends.
'Visitation for family and
friends will be Wednesday,
August 7, 2002, from 2:00
p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the
James Crowder Funeral
Hoine in La Marque.
Funeral service to follow at
3:00 p.m. at the funeral
home with the Rev. Sharon
Sabom officiating. Burial
will be at Galveston
Memorial Park, Hitchcock.
Pallbearers are Malcom
Jennings, Larry Richardson,
. Robert Menotti, Art Witt,
Riley Hanssard and Greg
Littrell. Honorary
Pallbearers are Jack Jack,
Scott Dotson, Jesse
Wagoner and Nelson
Howard.
