Mrs. Carrie Lennon Foster, 84, widow of L. J. Foster died at 8 a.m. today in her home, 226 North Fourth st. following a lingering illness. She was born Sept 29, 1864 near Canal Lewisville, a daughter of Anthony And Emily McGiffin Lennon. On Dec.14, 1881 she was married to L. J. Foster who preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1932. She was a member of the Canal Lewisville Methodist church. Surviving are five sons, Archie F. and C.O. Foster, both of Coshocton; Harry of Fort Pierce Fla., Wade Foster of Fresno route, James L. Foster of Johnstown O. route; two daughter, Mrs. Wade Fisher of the home and Mrs. Nellie Wilson of Newark; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. One son and two daughters are deceased. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the home. Rev. Russell Hoy of the Canal Lewisville Methodist church will officiate and burial will be in the Canal Lewisville cemetery. Friends may call at the residence from 7 o'clock tonight until time for services.

Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Foster 226 North Fourth St. celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday at their home. The rooms were beautifully decorated with a profusion of yellow chrysanthemums, tea roses and various other flowers. Button chrysanthemums and green candle holders bearing yellow tapers centered the tables where a turkey dinner was served at 1 o'clock.

The following were seated at the table of the honored guests: Mr and Mrs. Abe Foster [brother to L. J.], Mr. and Mrs. Welker Besst, West Lafayette, Mrs Elinor Foster, the Misses Mary and Dollie Lennon, L. J. Lowery [Jefferson Davis Lowery husband to Hannah Foster a sister to L.J. who died in 1928], and the honored ones.

Several of the guests were present at the ceremony 50 years ago.

Guests seated at another table were as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Arch Foster, Harry Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wilson, Newark, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Foster, Mr and Mrs. Wade Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. James Foster, Johnstown, Mr. and Mrs. Don Stout, Uhrichville, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Davis and son Howard Jr., Uhrichville, Miss Anna Lowery, Miss Alma Foster, Bernice Foster, Eddie Foster, Robert Foster, James Foster, William Foster, Eveline Foster, Jack, Tom and Allen Foster.

Many lovely gifts were received by the honored ones.

Mr. and Mrs. Foster who are well known residents of this city have the congratulations and well wishes of their many friends.
