Ernestine was born September 28, 1926 in Lillis, KS. She moved to Kansas City, KS after her husband, James (Nim), secured a job with the Union Pacific Railroad. Her last year and a half was spent at the Welstone Independent Living Facility in Mission, KS. While Ernestine occasionally worked outside the home, her most rewarding job was being a mom to ten children. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James, her daughter, Joyce, her second husband, John Quinn, and her son, Tom. Tom died a couple hours prior to his mom on the same day.
