Henriette Preece (nee Strobel) 83 years old of Elyria, Ohio died on Saturday, February 5, 2011 following a long illness.

Mrs. Preece was born on January 4, 1928 in Sturgert, Germany and she lived in Elyria for most of her life. She was a homemaker. She was employed by General Motors as an Assembler for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She loved taking bus tours, playing bingo and shopping. She also enjoyed her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Lora Wolfort of Fort Myers, Florida, Diana Wilson (Danny) of Grafton, and Terri Preece-Battle (Mark) of Elyria; one son, Dieter Preece of Lorain, Ohio; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. and two sisters, Ruth Jakobowitz of Nürnberg, Germany and Gertrude Schultz of Lodi, California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Preece in 2002; one daughter, Karin Preece four sisters, Corry Loving, Karen Fiochtta, Anita Schaffer, and Erica Strobel; and three brothers, Arnold, Werner and Otmar Strobel.

A memorial service will be held on Friday February 11, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.
