Mrs. Oma Lee King, 78, of Steele, Mo., died Friday, April 26, 1996, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Blytheville, Arkansas.
Born Sunday, August 16, 1917, in Jonesboro, Ark., she was a daughter of the late Louis Mack and Ada Jones Cupp.
One brother, Charlie Cupp, and one step-brother, Carroll Gatlin, and one sister, Ida Mae Bishop, also preceded her in death.
A Pentecost and member of the First Assembly of God Church in Steele, she was a homemaker.
She was married to Novas B. Stewart on January 16, 1936 at Cardwell, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1962 at Steele.
On November 24, 1962 she was united in marriage with Joe King at Arbyrd, Mo.
Mrs. King leaves her husband, Mr. Joe King of Steele; one son, Richard Dean Stewart, of Jackson, Miss.; a daughter, Gloria Welch, of Blytheville; One step-son, Jackie King of San Diego, Calif.; two step-daughters: Carolyn Rowe of Memphis, Tenn. and Phyllis Whittle of Arlington, Tenn.; Eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. King were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 1996, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. Harold Tackitt officiating, assisted by Rev. Loyd Adams.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with arrangements by Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele.
Pallbearers were Jamie Lyles, Chad Whittle, Richie Stewart, Chris Welch, Frankie Rowe, and Joey Stewart.
